Floshare

Floshare carsharing gives you the freedom to choose your vehicle when you need it for errands, appointments, and other needs in Rochester, NY. We keep the price low to make the service affordable for all. You have access to a network of vehicles 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, with insurance and car maintenance included in the usage rate. Driving our 100% zero-emission electric vehicles (EV) also means you reduce air pollution and address climate change.

Who Can Use Floshare?

Floshare is available to anyone over 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, a relatively clean driving record, and a valid credit, debit, or bank card.

Rates:

  • $5 per hour plus $0.45 per mile driven.

Driver’s License:

  • Driver’s license from all 50 states accepted.

Application Process:

  • Includes a one-time $20 fee and a scheduled over-the-phone orientation once approved.

How Does Floshare Work?

  1. Reserve: Reserve Floshare in advance on the mobile app or website.

  2. Pick Up: Open the MDO Carshare app and unlock the vehicle.

  3. Drive: Unplug the vehicle from the charging station and begin your trip! Lock and unlock the vehicle with your smartphone or smartcard throughout your trip. Enjoy the drive!

  4. Drop: Return the car to the station where you began your journey. Use the EV Connect card to swipe at the charging station, plug the car into the charger, and end your trip with the app!
